Senior Accountant
Department: Finance
Reports To: Finance Manager
Location: Riyadh
Job Description
The Senior Accountant oversees daily accounting operations and ensures accurate recording of
financial transactions specific to freight forwarding, including receivables, payables, and cost
allocations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile general ledger entries, with a focus on freight income and cost of sales.
- Oversee invoicing, payment processing, and vendor reconciliations.
- Monitor receivables, aging reports, and coordinate with operations and collections team.
- Ensure timely month-end closing and reporting.
- Prepare VAT, customs duty, and other statutory filings related to logistics transactions.
- Work with auditors during internal and external audits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a freight or logistics company.
- Strong understanding of shipping documentation, freight cost accounting, and international trade
finance. - Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, ERP systems).
