Position Overview
As an Operations Manager at Freightel, you will lead and oversee the day-to-day logistics and freight operations, ensuring seamless service delivery, cost efficiency, and high client satisfaction. This role demands a results-driven leader with deep industry knowledge, a sharp operational mindset, and the ability to manage teams and processes across multiple freight channels.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily freight operations, including import/export, warehousing, customs clearance, and transport coordination.

Ensure optimal resource allocation, process efficiency, and service quality across all logistics functions.

Manage and support cross-functional teams, fostering a performance-driven and collaborative culture.

Monitor KPIs and operational metrics, implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction.

Coordinate with sales, pricing, and customer service teams to ensure smooth execution of client requirements.

Ensure full compliance with international trade laws, customs regulations, and internal SOPs.

Identify bottlenecks, manage risk, and implement strategic solutions for operational challenges.

Support system upgrades, automation projects, and technology adoption to streamline operations.
Qualifications & Skills

5+ years of experience in operations or logistics management, preferably in freight forwarding or supply chain.

Strong leadership and team management skills with a focus on operational efficiency.

In-depth knowledge of freight processes (air, sea, land), customs procedures, and global logistics regulations.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational abilities.

Proficiency in logistics software, TMS/WMS platforms, and Microsoft Office tools.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work across departments and with clients.

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field (MBA is a plus).
